are you in lisbon? ok, we're portuguese and we'll give you inside tips

if you are planning to visit lisbon soon, we would like to leave you with some suggestions, whether it's your first time in the city or if you have been there many times before! cities are always changing, growing and there are always places we have never been.
there are many itineraries with suggestions of what to do and see, but that is not our goal. we will not focus on the classic places like the castelo de s. jorge, the mosteiro dos jerónimos or the terreiro do paço. although they are always worth a visit!

FOR A HEALTHY BRUNCH:

comobå:
located fairly close to the tejo river, in the heart of downtown lisbon. serves healthy, organic meals made with seasonal products from portuguese farmers and fishermen. it's a great choice for breakfast, brunch or just a snack.

TO EAT AND RELAX:

java rooftop
located at the top of building 8 in cais do sodré, javá rooftop offers a menu full of mediterranean flavors from the grill, along with craft cocktails and a fine wine selection, and is open daily for dinner and drinks, and on weekends for rooftop brunch.

@java_lisboaFOR A SWEET TREAT:

manteigaria
the classic pastel de nata needs no introduction. these are simply delicious.....

@manteigaria.oficial
it's summer, so maybe some ice cream at davvero, nannarella or santini.

WHAT TO DO

a walk along the rio tejo, a stroll through the fundação gulbenkian or a visit to the stalls of the traditional feira da ladra are always pleasant.

 @fcgulbenkian

if you prefer an afternoon of culture, don't forget to check out the maat exhibitions or learn about the history of the city at the quake museum.

for those who enjoy a walk or a bike ride in the countryside, the monsanto forest park is the largest green area in the city, covering about 900 hectares (three times the size of new york's central park).

and in every city, there are places which are in disrepair and dilapidation, which are in good locations but are abandoned and do not serve the community. mīrārī saw an opportunity here and now we have a space with street food, art, music, and even traditional games.

AT NIGHT FALL:

palácio do grilo

for a different experience, a historic place now a restaurant in the middle of a live theater. located in the beato district of lisbon, is open from 11am to 00pm for meals or to relax with a drink in the gardens.

TO GO FOR DINNER AND SOME FUN:

so many great places to eat, but...if you don't want to just eat, you want to have some fun here are two good choices.

with informal treatment, natural wines and seasonal food from local producers comme to trickys won't disappoint.

one of the good things about living in a country with 700 years of history (counting only from the creation of the country, even if it's geographically different) is that there's no shortage of great places to visit. built in 1781, the chiado palace was the site of many parties and balls for the aristocracy of the time. today it's open for dinner, curated by chef manuel bóia, and at the salla bar to listen to music and dance with the resident dj's (thursdays, fridays and saturdays).
