Hair: Are We Victims Of Too Much Trends?

Hair: Are We Victims Of Too Much Trends?

After two years without dyeing my hair, I finally reached my natural color. And of course, that’s exactly when I felt the need to do something. I went deep—caramel blonde, bronde, every TikTok theory and honey-toned obsession. It wasn’t easy to understand what I actually liked, because on other people everything looks amazing.

But then it clicked. These warm, honey shades make no sense to me. I get why they’re everywhere—they feel soft, flattering, and timeless rather than loud.

Still, my real reference wasn’t TikTok or Instagram. It was the runway. The last shows were all about long hair, super messy, sun-touched, and natural—color that looks lived in, not done. Like it was tied by the sun, not by a salon appointment.

So the question became: are we all victims of techniques? Of repeating the same formulas until everyone ends up with the same highlights?

I believe it’s possible to bring light into the hair without erasing individuality. Brightness doesn’t have to mean contrast. Color doesn’t have to look done. The most modern hair right now feels long, messy, warm, and natural—tied by the sun, not by a trend.
